Today, 5 July 2010, the XI General Chapter of the Congregation began at the Center of Rogate Spirituality of Morlupo (Via Flaminia, 65 - 00067 Morlupo (Rome) tel. 06,9072755, fax 06,9072300). Participating in the Chapter are 53 Confreres coming from various Circumscriptions (Italy Center-South Province, Italy Center-North Province, Latin American Province, Philippine Delegation, Indian Delegation, African Delegation, USA Delegation).

 

Almost everyone arrived yesterday, except for the members of the Latin-American Province who are expected to arrive today and a Confrere from Africa one of these days. The particular theme of the Chapter is "The rule of life, guarantee of the charismatic identity, expression of the consecration, support of the fraternal communion, plan of the mission." This theme is connected to the commitment left to the Congregation by the previous Chapter, that is, to do a revision and updating of our Norm, which has been done for the past six years. Today, 5 July, anniversary of the birth of the Founder, Saint Hannibal Mary Di Francia, the Chapter participants are gathered in a spiritual retreat, animated by Fr.
